Description

A character study that went too far. Meant to be a Tiefling (an Amazon Tiefling at that) for a game using the Planescape setting. The BG is weak--I stitched together two backgrounds stolen from other images in the series. No offense intended by the steel bikini--I understand Tieflings to be a bit indecent. Pencil drawing painted using Photoshop.

The chain bikini looks too much like a Photoshop brush, a little too repetitive? The hands seem to blur too much away from the sharp quality of the face.

But still, a very solid piece, James.

Aaah yes the Chain-mail bikini, a staple to fantasy female warrior along with the high heels and 90 pounds of steel armor for a 80 pound woman with 20 pound breasts. But I'm not bitter. Nice picture I like how you magnified freckles to give the pict a fiendish look. Although maybe the tail could use some more texture... not quite sure how you would do that but its pretty uniform and boring in comparinson to the rest of the body.

This was the first figure painting (of any medium or genre) in eight to ten years. Too much time spent paying the bills... Thanks for the encouragement.

Wow! I must say I love how you do armor..decorative yet sturdy looking. And the backlighting is gorgeous. Nice job. I think it might look better if the right side was cropped off, though, it detracts from the gorgeously done figure.
